Richard Layne CPSM Bio
Richard has over 20 years of experience in a variety of Direct and Indirect sourcing commodities such as data storage systems, software, IT technology, construction, capital equipment, consulting, professional, marketing services, outsourcing, and contract manufacturing, in the Entertainment, Finance and Manufacturing industries. He led diverse teams of professionals implementing procurement systems and establishing policies and procedures to support sourcing and procurement.

Currently Richard is a Sourcing and Contract Manager at Farmers Insurance working on a variety of marketing initiatives. Prior to Farmers he was at The Walt Disney Company as Senior Sourcing specialist supporting sourcing efforts for production equipment, technology and creative materials in support of Studio Operations.

He has a Master’s Degree in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and is Certificated Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).Richard is on the Board of Directors for the San Fernando chapter of (ISM), previously holding various positions of President, Vice President of Education, Communications, and Marketing. As current President Elect, Richard will again assume responsibility as President for the 2016/17 term in beginning in June.
